This is the time of year when the Sun is in Pisces and this year it’s Pisces on steroids because the Sun immediately conjuncts the ruling planet Neptune. “Too Late to Change the Rules Now”
Well…. not necessarily, and the retrograde is helpful for just that reason. Rules can be changed; in fact, sometimes they must be in order to bring out the best in us; and that’s what Saturn’s message is all about anyway.
Let me introduce you to Saturn going retrograde in the sign of Libra, where the planet sends an absolutely-and-positively-balanced message. Of course, nature isn’t always balanced, not to mention that nothing is ever perfect. So we can alter the rulebook here too. In this light, if something isn’t working how beneficial is it to never give it up or let it go? How productive is it to remain rigid, especially when the approach makes it hard to flow with the rhythm of life? Case in point: The willow tree that bends in the wind as opposed to a stiff maple that snaps in it.
Imagine you are like the stiff maple tree. Here you are running your life in a strong-willed, rigid way. You are solidly bound to a job, success, a relationship, responsibilities, limiting conditions, material things, a business, to other’s approval, social standing or a chronic pessimistic view. With the latter you operate with the view that: What’s the use, something is going to happen to ruin IT (whatever it is) or someone will undermine my achievements. Guess what! These are your life rules. You made them. You don’t have to stick to them. During the retrograde — change your own rules and change your life.
Say hello to the willow-like energy that bends in the wind. This is the person who turns things around and creates success on their own terms. It is a person who realizes that not all things are binding and that everything isn’t written in stone. You can go back and try again using Saturn’s beneficial symbolism as the flexible spinal column of confidence, ensured that people are going to respect you and your opinion.
You just realized that you do have other chances and that it is okay to let go of your security blanket now and then, didn’t you? If you didn’t, you can. I give you permission!
